Rangers get serious in pursuit of Michael O’Halloran

Rangers are getting serious in their attempt to land St Johnstone forward Michael O’Halloran.
The Ibrox club made contact with Saints earlier in the week after their chief scout Frank McParland had a final look at the former Celtic and Bolton man in Saturday’s match against Kilmarnock.
Now, it has emerged from Glasgow that they have made a verbal offer for O’Halloran.
The Perth club are not commenting on the issue but it is understood Rangers will have to multiply their bid by three to have a chance of signing a player who has 18 months left on his contract.
Worryingly for Saints fans though, the fact that Rangers have started the process midway through January would suggest that they haven’t yet reached their bidding ceiling.
