‘Party People’ get ready… 90s boyband 911 to play Fife gig
ByCraig Smith
Music fans of a certain vintage can take a trip down memory lane next month after it emerged that 90s boy band 911 are to kick off their new tour in Fife.
The poster boys of mid-90s pop, albeit for a fairly short while, Lee, Spike and Jimmy are hitting the road with The Journey 20 Tour marking 20 years together in the music business.
The first stop on an eight-show tour will be at the Rothes Halls in Glenrothes on October 9, and there is no doubt likely to be plenty of interest in their forthcoming gig.
The trio burst on to the scene in 1995 and captured the hearts of teenagers up and down the country, but the fickle world of showbusiness saw them struggle in the charts before breaking up in 2000.

But after a period where the threesome did solo projects and worked on other things, the group reunited for the ITV2 reality show The Big Reunion and subsequently went on a nationwide tour in the wake of that programme’s success.
So for fans of catchy tunes like Bodyshakin’, The Journey, More Than A Woman, Don’t Make Me Wait and Party People, the Rothes Halls will be the place to be in just over two weeks’ time.
