The 27-year-old is alleged to have repeatedly hit Mr Zaluska on the head to his injury in Glasgow city centre on October 20 last year. It is claimed that Mr Paton carried out the attack at Ashton Lane and Byres Road whilst “acting with another”. Mr Paton, who was not present at today’s hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court, pled not guilty by letter. The trial was set for October.
