A serial Facebook troll has been jailed for a second time after sending a barrage of abuse via the social networking site.
Stewart McInroy was jailed just weeks after being released from prison following a near-identical offence.
Last year he was sent to prison after sending a series of sick messages to friends and family of missing Glenrothes man Allan Bryant Jr claiming he had taken Allan hostage and had then “brutally tortured and murdered him”.
He was released in September having served half of a 10 month sentence.
In November McInroy again took to Facebook, this time to launch a campaign of abuse against his ex girlfriend threatening to hurt a dog and a small child if she didn’t contact him before claiming he would burn her house down.
At Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court the 24-year-old pleaded guilty to a charge of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner likely to cause fear and alarm on November 14 and 15 last year.
McInroy, a prisoner at Perth, was jailed for seven months after depute fiscal Beverly Adam told the court he sent his ex a series of abusive messages.
Ms Adam said one message stated: “f***ing unblock me or the dog gets it”.
He also sent a voicemail which included the sound of a dog-whimpering.
