A Dundee man has been jailed for nine months after threatening a man with a hammer.
John Mudie, 32, of Balunie Street, admitted at Dundee Sheriff Court that on November 28, at Balcarres Terrace, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and making threats towards Daniel Peters, and threatening him with a hammer.
He further admitted having a hammer without reasonable excuse. Depute fiscal Muhammad Sadiq told the court Mudie was spotted by Mr Peters looking “very angry” and acting aggressively.
He said Mudie then approached Mr Peters and said: “You’re going to get it,” and pulled out the hammer, before leaving the area.
