The Voice sensation Stevie McCrorie was mobbed by screaming fans as he made a triumphant homecoming.
The 30-year-old was reunited with colleagues at Kirkcaldy Fire Station for the first time since he became a household name on BBC show The Voice.
As he signed autographs and posed for photos, Stevie revealed singing live on national television was more nerve-racking than running into a burning building.
“You get trained really well to do your job in the fire service but nothing can prepare you for standing on the stage in front of millions of people,” he said.
He added: “It’s been absolutely phenomenal. I’ve loved every minute of it.
“I feel like a member of One Direction today!”

Stevie spent the morning in his home town of Alva, where he fought through hordes of fans to visit his local pub the Johnstone Arms, before greeting pupils at his former high school in Stirling.
Accompanied by a camera crew who were preparing a film of the flying visit to be shown on Saturday’s live final, he then hooked up with his Blue Watch crew mates and headed down to Kirkcaldy’s Beveridge Park where yet more excited supporters were waiting.
He told them: “You guys can make me win by picking up the phone and voting. I’m not going to win it on my own.”
Stevie revealed he will be singing the song he performed for his blind audition, Kodaline’s All I Want, which made all four judges turn around.
If he reaches the final two, he will also perform the Oscar-nominated Adam Levine number Lost Stars.
