Plans to commemorate First World War in Perth to be discussed
BySandra Gray
As part of preparations for the 100th anniversary of the First World War, an information-sharing event will be held in Perth.
The Black Watch Castle and Museum will be the venue for discussions regarding proposed events to commemorate the war.
The session on January 31 will bring participants up to date on projects that are being developed in the community.
Anyone with an interest in the First World War is welcome to attend, regardless of whether they were able to take part in the launch event last August.
Speakers at the event will discuss a range of projects, including those led by Perth and Kinross Council’s community care team and the Forestry Commission Scotland.
There will also be an opportunity to provide feedback on the development of other initiatives, followed by a tour of The Black Watch Castle and Museum’s First World War exhibition.
