Man arrested in connection with Kirkcaldy bank robbery

Police have made an arrest in the hunt for those behind an armed robbery on a bank in Kirkcaldy last month.
The incident took place at the Bank of Scotland in Mitchelston Industrial Estate on November 11, and officers have been investigating ever since.
Officers have now arrested a 40-year-old man from Lochgelly in connection with abduction and robbery and he is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday.
It is understood detectives from Kirkcaldy CID traced the man to a property in Lochgelly.
This investigation is ongoing with police confirming that they are looking to trace at least two other people.
Detective Inspector Charlie Duncan who is leading the inquiry said: “We have made significant progress during the inquiry and we are still looking for at least another two people connected with this incident.
“I believe those individuals are Eastern European males and may have been working in the area of Mitchelston Drive, Kirkcaldy, around the beginning of November.
“I would ask anyone who might know of their identity to contact police on 101. Information can also be passed in confidence through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
