Police have revealed that the sixth person arrested in connection with alleged offences in relation to dissident republicanism is a 56-year-old man.
He has been charged under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act and alleged conspiracy to murder.
The man is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
On Tuesday five people with alleged links to dissident republicanism appeared separately in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court and were charged under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act, which covers the preparation of terrorist acts, and conspiracy to murder.
Anton Duffy, 39, Martin Hughes, 34, and Stacy McAllister, 27, from Glasgow, Paul Sands, 30, from Ayr, and Edward McVeigh, 26, from Portpatrick, Dumfries and Galloway, were arrested last Wednesday. All five made no plea or declaration and they were remanded in custody.
