Teen cut free from windscreen after being hit by car

A teenager had to be cut free from from a car windscreen after being struck as he crossed the road.
The 18-year-old man had just stepped from a taxi in Cairneyhill Main Street when the incident occurred shortly before midnight on Tuesday.
He was rushed to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, with broken bones but his injuries were said to be not life-threatening.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman confirmed crews from Dunfermline used cutting gear to extract the casualty, from Cairneyhill, who had gone through the windscreen.
The driver of the car was uninjured. The road was closed until around 2.30pm.
Police Scotland are investigating the accident.
