Eight-year-old boy killed in accident with mobile crane in Aberdeen

An eight-year-old boy has died after a collision with a mobile crane while out with his bike.

Police were called to Aberdeen’s Great Northern Road near Haudagain Roundabout just after 7.30pm on Tuesday.

The boy on Wednesday named by police as eight-year-old Kyle Allan, from the Northfield area of the city was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he died of his injuries.

The road was shut between its junction with the A90 and St Machar Drive.
