More than 600 female cyclists took part in Scotland’s first Cycletta.
The women tackled a variety of courses ranging from 20km to 63km in the grounds of Scone Palace in Perthshire on Sunday.
Led from the front by Scone Palace chief executive Sarah Butler, the event was formally opened by Perth and Kinross Provost Liz Grant, who also performed the equally important duty of starting the Scootathlon, an event for the younger family members of the ladies taking part.
Mrs Grant said: “There was a real buzz around the grounds of the palace today and it was fantastic to see the first Scottish event get such a great turnout.
“It was a real honour to mark the start of the event and watch everyone spin off into the Perthshire countryside on two wheels.”
Nick Rusling, chief executive of event organisers Human Race, said: “We are absolutely delighted with how well the event went this weekend.
“Despite the challenging weather conditions, everyone was in good spirits in the grounds of Scone Palace and it was fantastic to see so many ladies crossing the finish line with proud smiles.”
