Raith Rovers have distanced themselves from trouble that broke out before their Championship match at Falkirk on Saturday.
Ten men appeared in court on Monday following the disturbance, which happened at the Union Inn, Camelon.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the club said: “Raith Rovers FC is justifiably proud of its supporters’ track record of good behaviour both at Stark’s Park and at away matches.
“However, we are not complacent in any way, and earlier this season we issued an unambiguous warning that any supporters either found to be in possession of banned articles such as pyrotechnics/flares or, worse still, setting these off will face an immediate and permanent ban from Stark’s Park.
“We have also dealt robustly with a couple of isolated incidents involving supporters attending away matches in the last 12 months.
“We will continue to take a firm line, and we are certain that everyone associated with the club will support this stance.”
The statement added: “Last Saturday, media widely reported on an incident allegedly involving fighting several miles from the Falkirk Stadium between groups purporting to have attached themselves to Falkirk and Raith Rovers.
“As the matter remains sub judice, it would be inappropriate for us to comment publicly on the circumstances of this incident.
“However, our detailed enquiries have led us to conclude that there is no connection between this group and Raith Rovers.
“We shall be raising our concerns with the football authorities about potential reputational damage to this club resulting from this incident.”
The match in Falkirk ended in a 3-1 win for the home side.
