‘I give you my blessing’ Father Ted star’s message to Fife drama group
ByLeeza Clark
Ah, go on, you’ll be kidding when you say Father Dougal himself has giving his blessing to a group of Fifers.
But, it’s true direct from Craggy Island, the hapless priest has conferred his best wishes on Kirkcaldy Amateur Dramatic Society, who are putting on the Scottish premiere of the classic sitcom Father Ted later this month.
Father Dougal, sometimes known as stand up Ardal O’Hanlon took the time to send a video message to KADS, who are boldly going where no-one in Scotland has gone before and bringing the much loved characters to life on a Scottish stage.
“I give you my blessing,” he joked.
“God love you as well.
“I know it could very well damage you for life, so just watch out for that. Best of luck,” he added.
