A Fife man has appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a road crash that killed a teenager.
Kristoffer Brister, 19, died in the accident in Leven, Fife, at about 1.45am on Saturday. Mr Brister, from Leven, was a passenger in a Peugeot 106 car that struck a wall in Barron Street. He died at the scene, police said.
Lee Hamilton, 22, from Methil, appeared on petition at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday. He faced charges of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by driving with no licence and no insurance.
He is also charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice, according to details released by the Crown Office.
He made no plea or declaration and was released on bail. The case was continued for further examination.
