A biker was allegedly caught travelling at 130mph on a Tayside road.
The incident came to light during a weekend operation by local road policing unit officers.
The unit said it had detected a 21-year-old motorcyclist travelling at 130mph on the A93 Braemar to Blairgowrie road on Sunday.
He will be reported to the procurator fiscal.
Inspector Brian Poole, head of the Divisional Road Policing Unit for Tayside, said: “Whilst detection of speeds in the region of 130mph is sadly not without precedent, it remains absolutely unacceptable to ride in this manner on the road network.
“Road policing officers will continue to challenge all types of risk taking behaviour with a view to reducing the number of people killed and injured on our roads.”
