A small silver hatchback car collided with the pair as they crossed Perth’s George Street at its junction with High Street at 12.30am. The women, aged 19 and 20, were taken by ambulance to hospital, where they were treated for their injuries. Police say their injuries proved not to be serious and the women were released after treatment. Officers are examining public and private CCTV footage from the area in a bid to trace the driver, who failed to stop at the scene. Anyone with information is asked to phone police on 101.
