‘Extreme alarm’ for woman who witnessed man’s sex act in Lochore Meadows

Police are appealing for witnesses following an indecent incident in Lochore at around 1.15pm on Friday.

A 34-year-old woman was walking in an isolated area of Lochore Meadows, referred to locally as ‘Cadger Wood’, when she became aware of a man carrying out a sexual act.

Police were contacted and responded immediately to the area.

However, the suspect had left and inquiries are ongoing to trace him.

Inspector Ken Chatham said: “Thankfully, the woman was not injured, nor was this offence in any way directed towards her. Nonetheless, this took place in a public area and caused the woman extreme alarm.

“This act took place in the middle of the day and could quite easily have been witnessed by other women or children. We are very keen to identify the man responsible.

“The best description we have of the man concerned is that he is white, aged 40-50 years old, stocky build and was wearing a dark or dark blue coloured fleece and a dark hat.

“He may also have been wearing red or cherry coloured socks.”
