Police appeal for witnesses following Dunfermline assault
ByJonathan Watson
Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Dunfermline.
The incident happened around 9am on Thursday inside the common area of a block of flats on Campbell Street.
The 52-year-old victim was making her way to the ground floor of the building when she was approached by a man demanding money.
He repeatedly asked for money before pushing her and left the stairwell via the back door.
The suspect was described as a white male, in his mid 20’s, around 5ft 9in with a slim to medium build and unshaven.
Inspector Ian Flynn, of Dunfermline Police Station, said: “This incident happened in a private building but we hope the description will help others identify him.
“It’s possible someone might remember seeing a man of this description leaving the building onto Campbell Street or one of the surrounding streets or acting suspiciously around that time in that area.”
Anybody with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101.
