Former East Fife captain Steven Tweed eyes Bayview hotseat

East FIfe’s last league winning captain Steven Tweed has expressed an interest in becoming the New Bayview club’s next manager.
The 41-year-old led Dave Baikie’s squad to the Third Division title in 2008 before he headed to Montrose the following year to become their player/manager.
Tweed left his post at Links Park in 2011 due to work commitments. However, he is now free to return to management and would jump at the opportunity to replace Willie Aitchison, who resigned on Monday.
Tweed said: “I would welcome a return to being involved in the game and of course I enjoyed my time at East Fife.
“I skippered the club to the Third Division so I know how much success means to the people there.
“It is a great opportunity to get back into the game and I would love to discuss what I believe I can do with the team and the club.”
