Water rescue teams help retrieve walker stranded after river fall
ByThe Courier Reporter
Perth firefighters were called to Crianlarich on Saturday after a walker fell into a river.
The water rescue team joined crews from across central Scotland at Falls of Falloch at around 3.10pm.
While the walker believed to be a man in his twenties had managed to get out of the water, he was stranded on the wrong side. Crews used a sked an inflatable walkway to reach the man and he was treated for hypothermia by paramedics.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue service confirmed crews from Stirling, Tyndrum, Crianlarich and Killin had been joined by water teams from Perth and Knightswood, and a rope rescue team from East Kilbride.
