A Perthshire woman has appeared in court after being accused of stealing money from Poppyscotland over a period of more than 10 years.
Ann Taylor, 52, faces a charge that between February 1 2005 and October 30 2015 she stole a number of collection tins containing money.
The accused, of Lintibert Terrace in Muthill, appeared in private at Perth Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Court papers state Taylor was Poppyscotland’s area organiser for collections at the time of the alleged offence.
It is claimed she stole the money at her home address, The Village Store, and Sweeney’s Garage, all Muthill.
During the brief hearing. Taylor, who appeared before Sheriff William Wood, made no plea or declaration and the case was continued for further examination.
