Dundee court chaos as jurors seen chatting with accused
ByThe Courier Reporter
A trial at Dundee Sheriff Court had to be postponed after potential jurors were seen talking to the accused.
The jurors were spotted chatting with the man they were to hear evidence against on the steps of the court after walking out of their waiting room following days of delays .
Angry jurors confronted members of staff and threatened to complain to their MSP after a week of delays at the court, which saw some jury members still for four days without a trial starting.
However, when a jury was selected for the case it emerged that at least one of the jurors had been discussing the case with the accused.
The trial was postponed and is expected to start at some point this week.
