Work has begun to create a tennis court at the hotel owned by British number one Andy Murray.
The Scots tennis star’s mum, Judy, tweeted an image of workers clearing trees at Cromlix House Hotel, where older brother Jamie wed Alexandra Gutierrez in 2010.
She even quipped about the nationality of the trio, writing: “Making space for the tennis court at Cromlix House. Tree fellers. None of them Irish.”
Olympian Murray bought the 15-bedroomed property for £1.8 million in February and plans to turn it into a five-star venue. It was revealed in April that plans for the luxury Victorian property included a private tennis court.
The refurbished hotel is scheduled to re-open next spring ahead of the 2014 Ryder Cup, which is being staged a short drive away at Gleneagles.
