Man charged with attempted murder after Oakley incident

A Fife man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following a street altercation at the weekend.
The victim of the alleged assault, named locally as Robert Morgan, was said to be in a “serious but stable” condition after sustaining injuries to his head and abdomen.
Lee McLean Hutton, 32, appeared in private at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday charged with attempted murder.
There was no plea and no declaration. He was committed for further examination and bail was granted.
Detective Inspector Chris Mill said following the incident: “We are investigating after a man was seriously assaulted on a street in Oakley during the early hours of Sunday.
“The 30-year-old sustained injuries to his head and abdomen during the altercation, which happened on John Stuart Gait at around 1.20am.”
Mr Mill added: “I also appeal to anyone who witnessed or heard this incident to come forward and contact police on 101.”
