Mary Logie murder: Police remove van from street where Leven pensioner was killed
ByCheryl Peebles
Investigators hunting the murderer of a Fife pensioner have removed a van from the street where she was battered to death with a rolling pin.
A white Ford Transit was loaded on to a recovery truck and taken away from Green Gates in Leven, where the body of Mary Logie was discovered in her living room on Tuesday.
Police Scotland refused to confirm whether the vehicle was seized in connection with the investigation.
As townspeople shocked by the brutal killing left floral tributes, officers in white suits continued their examination of the cordoned-off murder scene.
Police also conducted high-visibility patrols in an attempt to reassure anxious residents as the search for the attacker went on.
