Perth police probe sex assault on 16-year-old girl

Detectives in Perth are investigating a sexual assault on a 16-year-old girl in Perth in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Officers say the girl was walking on the footpath on the east side of Dunkeld Road, near the Motor Mile, shortly after midnight when she was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her.

The area has been cordoned off while officers carry out enquiries at the scene.

Specialist officers are speaking to the victim in a bid to establish further information.
