A bald drug dealer moaned that the stress of being arrested had made his hair fall out.
Jason Mackay, 28, was jailed for 22 months at Perth Sheriff Court after he admitted getting caught with £12,600 worth of cocaine.
Mackay told the court that being arrested and brought to court had sparked a case of alopecia which made the hair on his head and face fall out.
His solicitor told the court: “He is suffering from hair loss from his head and face as a result of alopecia, brought on by the stress of this case and this incident.
“He has been struggling to leave the house since this incident.
“He has suffered from anxiety and depression. He was eight years old when he was first diagnosed with depression.
“He is remorseful about his actions. He held his hands up at an early stage. He has realised his behaviour has prevented him from being a dad.”
Depute fiscal Gavin Letford told the court: “Information was received by police that a Vauxhall Astra was travelling within Perth and was suspected to contain Class A drugs.
“Officers traced the car to the car park at Asda in Perth. They saw three males and one of them was the accused. The car was searched and a quantity of white powder was found in the glove box.
“The three men were taken to Perth police station. The accused stated ‘it’s all mine.’ The car was searched and a further two bags of white powder were recovered.”
Unemployed Mackay who has previous drug convictions admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine in Perth on 12 June last year.
