Dundee City of Culture supporters can now wear it with pride

Two of Dundee’s creative big-hitters have helped relaunch a cult T-shirt to promote their home town’s bid for UK City of Culture 2017.
Fashion designer Hayley Scanlan and author Gary Robertson showed off the limited-edition Dundee Saved My Life T-shirts at Dundee Contemporary Arts.
Available from DCA, they were originally issued by arts collective Ganghut in 2009 and owners have been photographed wearing them in Brazil and South Africa.
The new T-shirts include the logo of WeDundee, the website which has collected support and ideas for Dundee’s bid for the cultural crown.
Hayley said: “I think it’s what Dundee needs. It would be a positive boost.”
Gary said: “It would be great to grab it. Like Hayley says, the city needs this.
“When you read history, Dundee has been put down by the rest of Scotland and Dundonians are happy-go-lucky and proud people.”
