Expectant mum jailed after stripping off in wheelchair-bound pensioner’s home and attacking him
ByAlan Wilson
A heavily-pregnant Angus woman who brutally assaulted a frail pensioner then cried rape in an effort to avoid detection has been jailed for three years.
Louise McDougall was told she had committed “a horrible” crime against wheelchair-bound 87-year-old William Watson of Montrose, leaving him bruised and battered after hitting him over the head with a poker, when she appeared for sentencing.
Dundee Sheriff Court had previously heard McDougall, 25, had told “one Oscar-worthy lie after another” in alleging Mr Watson had raped her.
In reality, a jury found, she had gone to his house, stripped down to her pants, offered to perform a sex act then brutally battered him with a fireside poker and claimed she had been raped by him when police arrived.
Callous McDougall is now due to have her baby behind bars in May and believes it will immediately be taken into care.
