Police still working to identify body found in Tay

Mystery surrounds the identity of a man whose dead body was found floating in the Tay on Friday morning.
The alarm was raised by a walker, who made the grim discovery off the Broughty Ferry shoreline.
A lifeboat was launched at 8am and the body was recovered from the stretch of water between Broughty Castle and the Broughty Ferry Lifeboat Station.
Police Scotland said last night the man has not been identified and forensic work will continue to find out who he is and where he is from.
Local officers cannot confirm the man is from Tayside and contact has been made with other divisions across the country to study outstanding missing person cases.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Police inquiries will include liaison with police colleagues outwith Tayside in relation to any missing persons.”
A spokesman for the Broughty Ferry RNLI said: “Three crewmen went out to recover the body. We handed it over to the police.”
