A 43-year-old woman remains in intensive care in hospital after a horrific collision with a bus in Perthshire.
She is described as being in a critical condition, and is being treated for “crush” injuries following the incident, which took place in Broich Road, Crieff, around 3.45pm on Friday.
A spokesman for Police Scotland’s Tayside Division told The Courier today : “The woman was taken to the intensive care unit of Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, following the collision with a Stagecoach double-decker bus on Friday.
“She is still in a critical condition and will be assessed to see if surgery can be carried out.”
No details were provided on how the collision took place. It’s understood the bus driver was not injured.
A spokesman said: “One of our vehicles was involved in an incident at around 3.40pm on Friday, in which a pedestrian was seriously injured on Broich Road, Crieff.
“Our immediate concerns are for the welfare of the person involved who was taken to hospital.
“There were no passengers on board the bus at the time of the incident.
“Safety is our highest priority. We are assisting police with their inquiries into the incident as well as carrying out our own investigation into the circumstances.”
