Janet Robertson, ne McPherson, was born at Dalchreichart, Glen Moriston, Inverness-shire on December 5 1910. Her father was the postmaster.
When he died, the family moved to Foss, by Pitlochry, and she was schooled locally before working for a doctor’s family in the town.
She married John in 1944 and moved to Newton of Logierait Farm, where she stayed for the rest of her life.
The couple had five children, Billy, Margaret, Janet, John and Tom, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs Robertson’s funeral takes place today from 1pm at Logierait Church. Donations can be made to Aberfeldy Cottage Hospital.
