Perthshire man admits assaulting his partner with pack of nappies

A 30-year-old father has admitted attacking his partner with a pack of nappies.

Lee Guthrie assaulted Gemma Taylor with the nappies at the home they shared on Perth Road, Stanley, on November 27.

He admitted attacking her with the baby product before pulling off her glasses and repeatedly slapping her on the face.

Guthrie, who has a number of previous convictions including for domestic assault, had sentence deferred until next month for the preparation of background reports.

Solicitor Paul Ralph said the couple had been apart since Guthrie’s arrest as a condition of bail but that has now been lifted.
