Police are refusing to rule out the possibility that two break-ins at businesses in Dundee have been committed by the same thief.
The Stagecoach Strathtay office was targeted, with a four-figure sum being stolen.
This follows a recent robbery at Discovery House, where criminals battered down a door with a fire extinguisher and made off with a £1,000 digital camera.
A police spokesperson said: “Although at this time there is nothing to suggest the two events are linked, we wouldn’t discount anything.
“One robbery was directly for property and money was taken in the other. So there is no link at the moment.”
The Stagecoach Strathtay building at the Wester Gourdie Industrial Estate was targeted between 3 and 4am last Sunday.
Police are keen to trace a man described as being 25-35, about 5ft 11in, of slim build, and wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans and grey trainers.
He was last seen walking towards Myrekirk Road.
A spokeswoman for Stagecoach East Scotland said: “Unfortunately our Dundee bus depot was broken into in the early hours of Sunday morning.
“We are working with Police Scotland to identify the person involved and have provided our CCTV recordings and security procedures to assist with the investigation.”
The Stagecoach raid follows on from last month’s hit on Discovery House, where robbers broke down a door to gain access to the building.
Once in the property the thieves quickly spotted a camera before making their escape.
Shortly after the event the property owner revealed the damage caused by the break-in far exceeded the value of the camera.
He said: “I think it was an opportunist crime to a certain extent. They came into my office and had a rummage in the drawers, but then kicked the security door in.
“The camera was top of the range, but they will have probably sold it for £100.
“Since the break-in our landlords have been severely cranking up the security and putting in CCTV.”
Police are also investigating a separate break-in to a property on Peterburn Terrace, Gowrie Park, between 8am on Monday and 8am on Tuesday.
In that incident, thieves made off with necklaces, rings, a Kindle and two Nexus tablets.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw or heard any suspicious activity is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
