Dundee 0 Livingston 1: Dark Blues stay top despite disappointing defeat
ByIan Roache
Former Dundee player Mark Burchill returned to Dens Park to punish his old team with the only goal of the game.
Burchill rose above a static home defence to head Livi into the lead after 11 minutes and that was the end of the scoring.
The Dark Blues struggled to find any fluency in their play and the only plus for them on a disappointing day was that Hamilton’s draw at Falkirk meant they still lead the Championship, albeit only by a point.
Accies travel to Dens on Saturday and Dundee will have to up their game considerably for that one if they are to come out of it as leaders.
Before kick-off, the 4,367 spectators were a credit to themselves for the manner in which they observed a minute’s silence in memory of former Dundee player Ian Redford. For full match coverage, see Monday’s Courier or try our digital edition.
