ByThe Courier Reporter
A man is believed to have tried to trick his way into the homes of sheltered housing tenants in Dundee to steal.
The police warned people not to allow strangers into their houses.
The man called at the sheltered housing in Dykehead Place, off Ogilvie Street, on Sunday and Monday, and asked the elderly residents to let him in for a drink of water.

They reminded people to not allow anyone they don’t know into their homes.
Genuine callers will be happy to produce identification to prove who they are and why they are calling.
Police are trying to trace the man who is described as a white male, late thirties,5ft 7in to 5ft 9in tall of medium build and with dark hair. He had a Dundee accent and was wearing a flat cap and dark anorak.
