Three people have been arrested and charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act following operations in the Dunfermline area.
Following tip-offs from the local community, officers raided a property in Burns Street, High Valleyfield, on Wednesday April 13 where £40,000 worth of heroin was recovered.
A 46-year-old man is due to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court in due course.
Another address in Abel Place, Dunfermline, was also searched on Wednesday where police seized £680 worth of class C drugs.
A 20-year-old man and 18-year-old woman will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for being concerned in the supply of drugs and will appear in court at a later date.
Sergeant Kathryn Fairfield, from Dunfermline Police Station, said: “Because of the intelligence we received from our communities within Dunfermline and High Valleyfield, we were able to execute two search warrants and recover sizable quantities of heroin.
“This demonstrates our commitment to remove drugs from our communities.”
