The Allan Johnston and Sandy Clark partnership is set to be reunited at Dunfermline, Courier Sport can reveal. The pair were hugely successful at Queen of the South and also worked together at Kilmarnock. And it is understood that when former St Johnstone manager Clark was let go by Killie, that hit the new Pars manager hard. Clark has since been a number two to Darren Young at Albion Rovers, who were recently crowned League Two champions. The Dunfermline switch will be a big blow to Young, who has been mentored by Clark as a rookie boss. He said recently: “Sandy has been there and done it all. I know Sandy well and his help and experience has been invaluable to me.” Clark has previously been on the coaching staff at East End Park – under Jimmy Calderwood. And he ended his playing career there, featuring in a handful of games.
