Two-car crash closes A9 at Auchterarder

A two-car crash closed the A9 near Auchterarder this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the southbound carriageway at 10.20am following reports of a vehicle on its roof.

A second car also ended up on the central reservation of the road.

Two people were injured in the crash, which happened 200 yards from the turn-off for Gleneagles Station.

The extent of their injuries is not known, but they were treated at the scene by paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service.
