Driver was banned when he flipped car in A92 crash

A disqualified driver caused chaos on the A92 because he was paranoid over using public transport, a court has heard.
Ryan Sime swerved to avoid a tractor, hit the central barrier then went off the road, overturning down a hill.
Other vehicles had to brake sharply to avoid being caught up in the accident, which saw Sime walk clear but the car written-off.
The emergency services attended and the road was closed as the damage was repaired.
At Dunfermline Sheriff Court, Sime, 37, of Caithness Court, Kirkcaldy, admitted that on October 17 last year on the A92, between Lochgelly and Kirkcaldy West, he drove a car while being disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence and drove without insurance.
He further admitted that he drove without due care and attention, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to collide with the central barrier and overturn, causing damage to the car and injuring himself.
Sheriff Craig McSherry called for reports and disqualified Sime from driving with immediate effect, pending sentencing on April 8.
