Elderly woman dies over a week after accident with car in Dunfermline

An elderly woman has died after she was involved in an accident with a car in Dunfermline last month.

Margaret McKenzie, who was 86, was hit while crossing Hospital Hill, near St Andrew Street, around 10am on Friday, November 29.

Police today revealed she died in Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy on December 7.

Officers are now seeking witnesses to the accident.

Sergeant Andrew Mather, who is leading the investigation, said: “A report has gone to the procurator fiscal. However, we are appealing for any witnesses who may have been walking or driving in the area and saw a woman crossing the road to contact us on 101.”
