Disgraced former Fife MSP Bill Walker has been hitting the campaign trail behind bars.
The convicted wife-beater is reportedly hoping to persuade fellow prisoners to back Scottish independence.
Walker, 71, who was thrown out of the SNP before being found guilty of attacking three ex-wives and a step-daughter, wants to hold referendum lectures.
He hopes to convince those who will be released from Dumfries prison ahead of the poll, in September next year, to vote yes.The ex-Dunfermline MSP was jailed for a year in September for a catalogue of assaults on Maureen Traquair, Anne Gruber and Diana Walker spanning 28 years and an assault on Anne Louise Paterson when she was 16.
