Alex Burke Dunfermline FC’s newest injury woe

Dunfermline have suffered their second medial ligament injury blow within the space of a week.

Alex Burke has now joined skipper Austin McCann on the sidelines following an accident before a reserve game on Wednesday.

His disappointed boss Jim McIntyre said, “Alex picked up the injury in the warm-up for the reserve match.

“It was just a freak accident and he is facing four to six weeks out.”

He added, “Austin, though, should be back within two to three weeks.”
