A man has been injured in a crash between a van and a tractor.
The incident caused the Volkswagen Transporter to catch fire, causing a total closure of the A984 Dunkeld to Coupar Angus road.
Emergency services were called to the scene, near Spittalfield, shortly before 12.30pm.
The male driver of the van suffered head and leg injuries and an ambulance crew took him to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
Crews from both Dunkeld and Perth fire stations were tasked with tackling the blaze.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “We were called shortly after 12.20pm to the Dunkeld to Coupar Angus road, near Spittalfield.
“A tractor and a van had collided and the van was on fire.The ambulance service was contacted as the driver of the blue Volkswagen panel van had leg and head injuries.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they had sent two engines to the scene.
A spokeswoman said: “We were called at 12.29pm to a vehicle on fire.Crews from Dunkeld and Perth attended. We used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.”
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We were asked to attend at 12.30pm to an incident involving a tractor and a van.
“We treated one male casualty who has head and leg injuries, but these are not thought to be serious.We will be transporting him to Ninewells Hospital.”
Elsewhere, two vehicles collided on the M9, near junction 10.
The accident, between a Volkswagen Golf and a BMW 3 series, happened on the southbound carrigeway at around 12.15pm.
It is understood that there were no serious injuries.
