Funeral of Knockhill crash victim Matt Polanski held

The funeral has taken place at Kirkcaldy Crematorium of Matt Polanski who died following a high-speed motorcycle crash at Knockhill on Sunday August 4.
Family and friends including many from the biking community paid their last respects to Mr Polanski, 30, of Cardenden, who succumbed to his injuries after crashing during a Knockhill Motor Sports Club Pre-Injection 600 race.
The family told last week that it was his wish, and his family’s wish, that he should donate his organs when he died. Mr Polanski was a keen motorcyclist who formed the MBP racing team with his daughter Beth, 13.
In his day job he was a self-employed erecter of polytunnels in agriculture. Mr Polanski is survived by his wife Jill, daughter Bethany, mother and father Richard and Teresa, six brothers and three grandparents.
