Police are warning motorists to be on their guard after a spate of fuel thefts in Tayside.
Three cars in Dundee and another in Longforgan have had their tanks damaged and fuel siphoned off this week.
A Vauxhall van and a Vauxhall Corsa were targeted outside Orchard Court in Dundee. Thieves also stole fuel from a Vauxhall Corsa in the car park at Tesco Riverside.
Another car was damaged and fuel siphoned in Longforgan’s Main Street.
Car owners are being advised to park in a visible area rather than in a well-it secluded spot and use a garage if possible.
Officers are encouraging anyone to report any suspicious activity in their area and report anyone who offers them cheap petrol or diesel.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact Police Scotland, Tayside Division on 101, or any police officer. Information can also be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
