Woman found safe and well after being reported missing

An elderly woman with advanced Alzheimer’s disease who was missing overnight has been found safe and well.

Margaret Dutch, known as Peggy, had last been seen at Deanston care home in the Blairhill area of Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, at about 6.30pm yesterday.

The 83-year-old has recently been receiving palliative care for a chest infection.

Police urged local people to check outbuildings and garages as they appealed for information which could help them trace the missing woman.

She has now been found safe and well in the town.
