City council delays decision on Riverside speed limit cut
ByNews reporter
A decision on cutting the speed limit on a major Dundee route has been delayed.
Councillors had been due to consider a report on limits on A and B-class roads in the city on Tuesday, but it was withdrawn from the agenda of the city development committee at short notice.
The only change proposed in the report was imposing a 40mph maximum on Riverside Drive and Riverside Avenue, down from 50mph.
The new 40mph limit would run from the Tesco roundabout to the Landmark Hotel roundabout.
Officials reckon this would support future development along the route and make it easier to create pedestrian crossings.
