Dundee United star Gary Mackay-Steven will be winging his way to Wembley after being named in the Scotland squad for the friendly against England.

The Scots will head to the London on August 14 for the Teenage Cancer Trust match against the Auld Enemy, and Mackay-Steven will be flying the flag for the Tangerines.

He will be joined by former United men Craig Conway, now with Cardiff City, and the unattached Andy Webster for the glamour game.

It is national coach Gordon Strachan’s first test since the unexpected victory over Croatia in the World Cup qualifier last month.

Another notable name in the 29-man squad is that of former Hibs and Dundee frontman Leigh Griffiths, one of four strikers along with Wigan’s Shaun Maloney, Jordan Rhodes of Blackburn and veteran Kenny Miller of Vancouver Whitecaps.

Dundonian Charlie Adam is in the midfield group, as is Norwich playmaker Robert Snodgrass, who grabbed the winner in Zagreb.

Squad: Gilks (Blackpool), Marshall (Cardiff), McGregor (Hull); Greer (Brighton), Hammell (Motherwell), Hanley (Blackburn), Hutton (Aston Villa), Martin (Norwich), Mulgrew (Celtic), Webster (unattached), Whittaker (Norwich); Adam (Stoke), Bannan (Aston Villa), Boyd (Hull), Bridcutt (Brighton), Burke (Birmingham), Brown (Celtic), Conway (Cardiff), Dorrans (West Brom), Forrest (Celtic), Mackay-Steven (Dundee United), McArthur (Wigan), Morrison (West Brom), Naismith (Everton), Snodgrass (Norwich); Griffiths (Wolves), Maloney (Wigan), Miller (Vancouver Whitecaps), Rhodes (Blackburn).
